Dear Families and Students,
We greatly miss having you and your students here with us at school. However, we also realize the importance of the Governor’s order and fully support the measures taken to increase social distancing so that we can limit the impact of coronavirus and flatten the curve. Please follow all the precautions especially washing your hands for at least 20 seconds and staying at home when possible. We want all of you to stay healthy and to have students return to school as soon as we can. The Governor’s Safer at Home order lasts through April 24. We will be closed through at least that date and potentially for a longer period of time.
If the address where your children are located has changed, please contact the district office. During the school closure, free lunch and breakfast are available to any student who lives in the district. If you would like to sign up for free breakfast and lunch on Monday-Friday for your school aged children and have not done so already, call the district office at 608-582-4657 ext 1905. You can leave a message if necessary and someone will call you back to verify.
The counseling office would like to share this message. During the mandated school closure, virtual counseling services will be available to students. Student services staff will be available by phone, email, and video chat. To request counseling services for your student you can fill out the google form located on the school website or call the district office at 608-582-4657.
In the coming weeks, we will be maintaining distance learning educational opportunities for all students. Learning will be different, but it will go on. For many, these opportunities will be provided digitally; for younger grades and those without internet, paper resources will be provided. If students are in grades 3-12 and need paper resources, please contact your teacher or building principal.
We are continuing to respond to this ever changing situation. As things develop, we will provide updates and notification. Please go to the district website for the latest information. Principals and teachers will be sharing more information so please check regularly throughout the school closure.
We know this is an incredibly difficult time for all of you. We are doing everything we can to provide a quality education while we are closed. We want to ensure you and your children stay healthy and are still able to learn. Together we can get through this.
Aaron Engel, District Administrator
