Dear Students and Families:
Yesterday Governor Evers closed school buildings for the rest of the school year. Despite this challenge, we will still continue to provide learning opportunities for students a week at a time through the end of the school year. We will be making additional opportunities available so please stay tuned.
We have applied for the waiver for instructional hours after holding a public hearing which the DPI will approve. This means that we will not need to make up lost time and will not be adding days to this school year or next school year.
Meal delivery will continue as it has through June 4. Please contact the district office if you would like to receive breakfast and lunch for your child.
We are conscious that children need closure for this year and will need extra support as we transition to next year. We are working on plans to address these two issues and will provide more information as we develop plans.
We will hold graduation, prom, senior awards and other special events when we are allowed to do so. We will be arranging some type of celebration for some events at the end of the year. Dates and times will be communicated at a future date.
At this time we are planning to hold summer school during the original dates. Please sign up on our school website if you have not done so already. Please understand that we may or may not be able to hold summer school depending on the Governor’s orders at that time.
The WIAA will announce next week their plans regarding the spring sports seasons.
Thank you for your flexibility during this difficult time. We are here to support you however we can. If you ever need anything that we can provide, please reach out to your building secretaries and principals.
Together we will get through this. Stay safe and healthy. We cannot wait to see you back at school.
